The Advanced MicroChem Kit was designed to be a serious first year college / high school AP level chemistry lab curriculum. This kit is an extremely cost effective solution usable in schools as a huge convenience for teachers or in the home for distance learning / independent study students (under parent/adult supervision).
We reviewed the College Board's® recommendations, included the labs they suggested, then added a few more for a total of 30 experiments. This chemistry lab course is based on the Microscale method, which uses about 1/100th of the chemicals a typical lab would consume. Most the chemical reagents are supplied in dropper bottles that are ready-to-go and do not require any mixing or further preparation. For added safety, there are no concentrated acids or bases in the kit.

The Advanced MicroChem Kit includes two books:
First, a 148-page manual that explains each experiment in detail covering: Goals, Background (a short pre-lab lecture), Materials and Equipment, and the step-by-step Procedures.
Secondly, a Lab Workbook, similar to lab notebooks used in most colleges. The Lab Workbook becomes a lasting record of each students laboratory work. The student takes notes, fills out tables, calculates results, answers questions, and formulates conclusions in the Lab Workbook.
